This course will utilize the industry standard software including Adobe Creative Suite. Some of the programs that you will become familiar with include Illustrator (Design), Flash (Animation), InDesign (Graphic Design), Photoshop (Photo Editing), After Effects (Special Effects), Premier Pro (Video Editing).
Grade 10, 11 and 12 students can take the Multimedia course. Course content will vary depending on student experience and prior module coursework.
Students will be creating projects in Photography, Animation, Video Production, Digital Imaging/Design, and Printing.
Students learn how to use a Digtal SLR camera to take photographs of various themes and subjects. Photgraphs can be taken in the classroom studio or on location when arranged with Ms Armstrong.
Students create their own video productions to showcase an event, subject or genre. Students interested in creating videos will have the opportunity to participate in the Southeastern Regional Skills competition and enter various video contests.
Students design and print their own t-shirts. Intermediate students may use a variety of printing techiniques including airbrushing, and stencil.
Students plan and create an animation using several techniques such as claymation, and 2-D animation.
